Covid-19 Information Section

Dealing with Covid related issues.

This guide is aimed at all employers. It explains how you can talk to
your workers about preventing coronavirus (COVID-19) in your
workplace. It gives guidance on reducing the risks from coronavirus, for
example by putting in place social distancing measures, staggering
shifts and providing additional handwashing facilities.

Dealing with stress related issues

“Across Great Britain, work-related stress accounts for over half (57%) of all working days lost to ill health. In the last 12 months, over 600 000 workers reported suffering from stress, depression or anxiety, caused or made worse by work.” Below, we have sourced a guide from HSE for managers to assisting employees with work related stress.

Making sure to remain DSE compliant at home

While working from home, it is imperative to continue adhering to the appropriate government guidelines.

“If you are working with computers for extended periods with poor posture and inadequate breaks you may experience aches and pains. If left untreated these can develop into long term health problems and are more difficult to resolve.” This includes the many new employees who will be working from home, either indefinitely or for the lockdown scenarios.
